Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Theres this girl running around dA commenting on pages and deviations of fanart for ~eddsworld saying she's his younger sister. She claims she's one year younger than him however Edd claimed here on his OFFICIAL formspring account his sisters are twenty five, and eight years old. [link] Proof.

Edd was twenty three, which shows that she'd have to be twenty two if she's right about being 'one year younger' or whatever.

She writes fanfiction and such about him, about even KILLING him, thats sick. He died a little over a week ago, you'd think people would have respect at least for the dead. Such disgusting actions. Ugh.

I promised myself not to give the name, as I don't want to have a huge collision of people going to her page and yelling at her.
Its true, shes a sick freak. HOWEVER, I'm going to sit back and watch and keep an eye on her. I've been notifying those who've seemed to have believed what she says with the truth.

So if you DO happen to see this girl who claims to be his sibling, contact her, tell her off, I don't care : P
What shes doing is sick in so many ways.
